Bridlewood Private Wealth

The Firm

Modernizing traditional wealth management.

Wealth management is an industry that often refuses to adapt. It is no longer the same industry it was 20 years ago. Having a “broker” on Wall Street is a thing of the past. Access to information and financial markets has become readily available to everyone, practically at no cost. The rise in the use of passive ETFs and self-directed brokerage accounts created an environment where advisors needed to offer more value than just investment access in order to justify their fees.

This has led to an increased focus on financial planning, while offloading investment decisions to asset managers. “Asset gatherers,” as the industry likes to call them.

Our view is that as technology continues to get better, and usage of things like AI becomes more widely accepted, this will again create an environment where advisors need to adapt and offer more value. We believe this will lead to an increased focus on true portfolio management.

Our opinion is that advisors will have to take a more research-focused approach to the entire investment landscape, blending comprehensive financial planning with a more in-depth and technical view on markets, with less reliance on outsourced investment decisions. This should reduce costs for clients, while providing better overall service.

This is the premise that Bridlewood was built on.

Our Founder

Ryan began his career at Lord, Abbett & Co., a global asset manager, where he focused on delivering investment advice to financial advisors. The role gave him a broad view of how portfolios are constructed and how investment strategy translates into real outcomes for clients. Over time, he found himself drawn to the other side of that relationship, working directly with the end client. In 2020, he made that move, joining RBC Wealth Management as a financial advisor.

At RBC, he formed a team specializing in portfolio management for private clientele, where he managed over $350 million in client assets. Under his leadership, the team was named to the Forbes Best-in-State Wealth Management Teams list in back-to-back years.

His goal was always to build a wealth management firm centered on his own views and values. In 2026, he left to do exactly that, and founded Bridlewood Private Wealth.
